Zoom H4n On Location

Wanted to offer up a quick on location video blog of using the H4n for location sound while shooting time-lapse. We had a lot of questions in our last class about what the need of off camera sound would be if you can just purchase the Canon 5D MkII or even the Canon 60D that both have a way of turning off Audio Gain Control (AGC). For me this is the main reason. Having the option to shoot location sound to mix into the edit in post is a huge gain.

Southland DSLR

Southland HDDSLR Meetup group will be focused on connecting new shooters and experienced cinematographers in the Southland area. The group will meet once a month as a way to establish those new connections face to face. So far my plan will be to change the meetup locations to a different location each month, as a way to maximize the availability of the group all over the LA area. These meetups will provide everyone with a chance to talk with other local cinematographers, and hopefully foster some networking in the local industry.
